Tirana Grand Park is situated close to the prestigious district of Blloku and it covers an area of 230 hectares. The park includes a large artificial lake that dates back to 1957–1958, providing the perfect spot for fishing throughout the year. A remarkable feature of the park is its outdoor theater, which was reconstructed in 2018.

The Presidential Palace can also be found here, originally meant as a residence for King Zog I. But due to his forced departure from Albania, it was only completed a few years later. Several national heroes such as politicians, writers and philosophers have tombs here too and are honored with monuments in their memory.

Aside from its historical value, Tirana Grand Park also provides a great opportunity for those looking to do some exercise or just enjoy fresh air in the city centre. Swimming outdoors is available during the summertime and there’s a myriad of walking paths for tourists and locals alike to explore. There’s even places where one can get refreshments like street food vendors offering snacks and drinks at reasonable prices.

Many cultural events such as concerts and theatre performances are held at Tirana Grand Park every now and then; providing visitors with an array of activities to discover something new each time they visit this beloved landmark.
