Drilon National Park is a stunningly beautiful landscape dotted with snow-capped mountains, crystal clear waters and lush greenery. Nestled in the idyllic neighbourhood of the same name, this picturesque park provides visitors with not only natural beauty but also all of the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay.

As Albania boasts six national parks, Drilon stands out among them for its grandeur and splendor. It is located within Lake Ohrid – Europe’s deepest lake – and was included in UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. This lake is home to an exclusively found species of trout known as “pastrimka” which can be caught by fishing enthusiasts or simply enjoyed as part of a myriad of fish dishes offered by many restaurants situated along the lake’s shores.

Aside from its breathtaking views, Drilon National Park contains other attractions such as underground sources of healing fresh water and white swans that glide on the surface of small rivers, contentedly awaiting treats from tourists. For those who are interested in antiquity, the Christian basilica from the 5th century is definitely worth exploring.
